- Principles of first aid, chain of survival
- Emergency management & scene survey
- Exposure protection, risk & barrier devices
- Primary survey, clearing the airway, recovery position
- CPR Child and Adult
- Introduction and use of AED’s
- Choking Adult and Child
- Bleeding, shock, first aid kit’s
- Accident reporting, COSHH, RIDDOR
- Secondary care, patient history, chief complaints
- Signs & symptoms, breathing problems, illnesses, injury
By completing this paediatric course as a “Blended Option” you would complete part training online prior to attending the classroom element of the training, then just attend 1 day within the classroom environment. Once completed you will still receive the 12 hour paediatric first aid certificate as required by Ofsted.
